Frequently Asked Questions

The Impact Project is a transversal project that will be carried out throughout the Blended Professional Certificate. Participants will work in teams on a series of assignments that will culminate in a final presentation on the MIT Campus.

Participants will be given a choice of two tracks for this project:

  1. Work on a project with an industry challenge provided by the learning facilitator.
  2. Work on a project (industry challenge) chosen by the group and approved by the learning facilitator.

Blended Professional Certificate participants will attend two on-campus residential weeks during their certificate journey; one during the first stages of the certificate, and the other to close out the experience.

The first residential week will serve three main purposes:

  1. Lay the foundations for the creation of a community of practice.
  2. Provide participants with the unique experience of face-to-face sessions with MIT faculty.
  3. Align learning objectives, timelines, and structure of the program.

The second residential week will serve three main purposes:

  1. Conclude the year-long learning journey in-person, solidifying the creation of a community of practice.
  2. Provide participants with the unique experience of face-to-face sessions with MIT faculty.
  3. Presentation of final Impact Project results and plans.

Throughout the Blended Professional Certificate, learners will be supported by an experienced team of professionals dedicated to creating a positive impact and providing guidance regarding their professional careers. They will participate in sessions with a career advancement coach who will guide them towards their goals and prepare them for new and exciting challenges.

The leadership development aspect of the certificate includes a pool of masterclasses and webinars delivered by MIT Faculty and Instructor in Cultural Awareness, Personal Branding, Communication and Negotiation skills, and Networking and the Headhunter Ecosystem.
